Keep your eyes on September

Things are looking good for a September launch of the International Criminal Conspiracy.

First of all, I’ve written it. Yeah, lots of people take that for granted, but it’s really a big deal.

The characters are always protesting that you’ve misinterpreted them. The scenes don’t quite fit together, and in my case, the time travel details keep contradicting themselves.

But I think I’ve gotten it all locked down. Maybe. I’ve got two beta-readers going through it now, and I’m waiting for their reports on how simple-minded I’ve been.

On the solid front, I now have the cover art thanks to the very talented people at 100covers. I have the e-book cover on hand, and the paperback and hardcover designs should be along in the next couple of days.

Then I’ll be back to going over the text once or twice more to make sure I’ve caught 99.999% of the typos. I can state categorically that you can never get 100%. My theory is that typos are spontaneously generated out of the vacuum energy of the universe and can be used to explain the mystery of Dark Energy.

The current plan is to publish the ICC at the beginning of September on Amazon (watch for specific announcements) and to officially launch the book at the Washington Area Science Fiction Association’s annual convention: Capclave 2025.

I’m hoping to do a reading from the ICC or maybe Slayer of Rats, and perhaps a signing for the one or two people who know I exist. If you’re one of them, drop by the SFRevu table in the dealer’s room and say hello.
