Emily Charron is a student at the University of Maine, trying to finalize her dissertation for her PhD. In her spare time, what little of it there is, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Lessa, and her best friend, Chris Rodriguez. Emily has a sneaking suspicion that Lessa might actually like Chris more, not that she can blame the cat.

Emily and Chris met in Kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. Shortly after puberty, Emily began to notice other feelings for Chris but, since he has no such feelings for her, she’s wisely locked her fantasies away where they can do no harm.
